Karan Kundrra Exits The Traitors: “So Much Happened Before I Even Understood the Game”

The Indian edition of The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar and streaming on Amazon Prime Video, kicked off on June 12 with a bang—and it hasn’t slowed down since. In this ruthless game of trust, betrayal, and mind games, eliminations have come swiftly, and none more surprising than Karan Kundrra’s recent departure.

Following Lakshmi Manchu, Raj Kundra, and Sahil Salathia, Karan became the fourth contestant to exit the show—leaving both viewers and fellow contestants shocked.

Caught in the Crossfire

Karan’s journey came to an abrupt end in the dreaded Circle of Shaq during the third episode. Despite his efforts to fit in and observe, suspicions from the rest of the players led to his elimination. The group believed he might have been colluding with Raj Kundra, who had already been voted out in a previous episode. The decision to vote him out, though based on assumptions, proved costly for team dynamics.

Karan Opens Up About the Exit

Speaking with News18 after his elimination, Karan shared how disoriented he felt entering a format that was vastly different from anything he had done before. “I’m used to a different format,” he said, candidly. “In those, you usually get some time to understand the game, observe people, feel the rhythm. But here? So much happened before I could even get my bearings.”

Describing his experience, he likened it to being thrown into “hyperdrive”—where every second counts and you’re forced to make snap judgments, even without fully understanding the stakes. “I really wish I had survived that day in the Circle of Truth. I know I could’ve gone far because this show… this is a completely different kind of challenge.”

Raj Kundra Reflects on the Paranoia

Interestingly, Raj Kundra—who was the very first contestant to be voted out—also weighed in on the unpredictable nature of the show. “You really have no clue what’s going on behind your back,” he said, adding, “You don’t know who’s whispering what about you. That’s the twisted beauty of The Traitors. It keeps you on edge every second.”

Raj confessed he had his own suspicions too. “At one point, I started doubting Janvi and even Ashish sir,” he revealed. “But I held back. And I definitely didn’t expect Rebel Kid and Raftaar to connect the dots and flip the game on me like that.”

Despite his own abrupt exit, Raj appeared to admire the cutthroat dynamics of the game, even calling it a “Kalyug show” and dubbing it “the baap of all reality shows.”

The Traitors: Not Your Average Reality Show

Both Karan and Raj’s experiences highlight one thing clearly—The Traitors is not for the faint-hearted. This is not a place where you get to slowly build alliances, make long-term strategies, or lean on old-school reality TV tricks. It’s a psychological pressure cooker, where trust is rare, and suspicion is your only weapon.

As the episodes continue, the unpredictability only grows. With major personalities like Karan Kundrra out of the picture, fans are eager to see who will rise, who will fall, and who’s playing the most dangerous game of all—one that’s all about deception, manipulation, and survival.

And if Karan’s exit taught us anything, it’s this: in The Traitors, no one is safe, and nothing is what it seems.
